New DBE Proposal from U.S. DOT

The proposed rule would update personal net worth and program size thresholds for inflation, among other things, in the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program.

On June 21, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking on the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. The proposed rule would update personal net worth and program size thresholds for inflation, add new program elements to foster greater usage of DBEs and proactive monitoring and oversight, update certification provisions, and make other technical corrections.

This move was expected as U.S. DOT announced it in their Equity Action Plan that was released earlier this year. AGC is still reviewing the proposed rulemaking, which was only released a few hours ago, so stay tuned for more details.
